“Florida Keys” international music competition commemorating prominent Azerbaijani composer Jevdet Hajiyev kicks off in Florida

In honor of prominent Azerbaijani composer Jevdet Hajiyev, the "Florida Keys" International Music Competition for Young Talents (IMCYT) has kicked off in the US State of Florida.
The organizer of the competition is daughter of the great composer Parvin Muradova, who is the Chair of Education and Culture Committee at Azerbaijani-American Cultural Association of Florida.
The Florida Keys IMCYT was co-founded by President of Azerbaijani American Cultural Association (AACA) Tohfa Eminova, professional music instructor and pianist Kay Lang and member of jury of New York Music Festival Vivian Fang Liu.
The international competition aims at exposing and promoting young talented pianists from all over the world, allowing them to win a chance to perform at the famous Carnegie Hall in New York.
Through the competition the organizers also aspire to the promotion of the rich musical culture of Azerbaijan around the world.
Those willing to participate in the competition must present their performances online, which allows contestants to participate in the Audition round without paying additional costs.
At the end of the competition, the winners selected by the members of jury composed of famous performers and teachers will receive monetary awards, as well as will be invited to the Winners’ Gala Concert and Winners’ Award Ceremony to be held on November 17, 2018 in Carnegie Hall, New York.
