Former Albanian President Ilir Meta elected as member of Nizami Ganjavi International Center

Former President of Albania Ilir Meta has been elected as a member of the Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC).

According to NGIC, the Former President, who is a constant participant of the Global Baku Forum, organized by the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, hailed the activities of the Center, which has already become an important platform, bringing together high-level representatives, including current and former heads of state and government for addressing topical issues on international agenda.

Ilir Meta assumed office as President of Albania from 2017 to 2022. Prior to his Presidency, Meta served as a Prime Minister of Albania from 1999 to 2002, also holding a post of the Speaker of Albanian Parliament from 2013 to 2017.
