Georgia central power - Tskhinvali province situation remains strained. Both stand for peaceful resolution of the conflict but do not rule out other option. Minister of Defense of Georgia commented on the last developments in Tskhinvali saying: ”the Government does all possible to control all that is going on in Tskhinvali. The Ministries of Security and Internal Affairs have been involved in these processes. We do not want Ministry of Defense to interfere in the solution of the problem. At the same time, we must be ready for war and any complicated situation. This is the main task set to us by the country’s President..”
