GOVERNMENT OF KAZAKHSTAN AND TENGIZ-CHEVROIL EXPANDING THEIR ACTIVITIES IN THE CASPIAN SHELF
A session of partner council of Tengiz-Chevroil was held in Almati. At the meeting, it was marked that the government of Kazakhstan and leaders of the consortium Tengiz-Chevroil agreed on expansion of technological projects in the Caspian shelf.
The agreement signed by the government of Kazakhstan and the consortium foresees construction of a new technological complex at Tengiz field. It gives a chance to double oil production. It is expected that according to the agreement, till the year of 2005, $600 million are to be supplied to the state treasury from Tengiz-Chevroil.
