INT’L ORGANIZATIONS TAKE ACTIVE PART IN DRAWING NEW BUDGET
Representatives of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank take active part in drawing up state budget of Azerbaijan for 2005, standing commission on economic policy of Milli Majlis told AzerTAj.
The IMF has some proposals concerning the new state budget. The budget expenditures should not be more than budget revenues, IMF suggests. But the Commission counts that the expenditures should be increased. It is because of the budget deficit, which is planned at amount 500 billion manats. The higher level of budget deficit has been defined as 3 percent. More budget deficit allows increase of incomes.
The International Monetary Fund suggests that the budget expenses should not exceed one percent in comparison with GDP. Last year, this growth has made up 18,4 percent, and current year - 19,7 percent.
