JAPANESE GOVERNMENT’S ASSISTANCE TO AZERBAIJANI CULTURE
As is known, Azerbaijan Symphonic Orchestra play on the instruments of “Yamaha” purchased by funds of the government of Japan. Grant for repair of the central musical school has been recently allocated by the government of Japan; besides, the government of Japan intends to allocate grant for full re-equipment of the obsolete lighthead for the State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet.
Ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan Toshiyuki Fujivara thanked the Minister for the kind words and noted that Japan realizes the importance of geopolitical situation of Azerbaijan and its leading role in the South Caucasian region. We believe that Azerbaijan will become the developed country in a few years. Meanwhile, we are going to render gratis help to your country. After visit of the President Heydar Aliyev to Japan, on February 1998, numerous bilateral agreements and contracts on cooperation were signed, one of the points of which is rendering assistance to development of culture of Azerbaijan.
