Jordanian ambassador reaffirms readiness to contribute to development of relations between AZERTAC and Petra news agencies
Baku, February 4, AZERTAC
“We are ready to assist in advancing the cooperation between Jordan’s Petra and Azerbaijan`s AZERTAC news agencies to a new level,” said Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Azerbaijan Sami Abdullah Ghosheh as he met with Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC) Aslan Aslanov.
Ambassador Sami Abdullah Ghosheh noted that pushing the relations between Petra and AZERTAC to a new level could enhance exchange of information and experience.
Aslan Aslanov said the foundation of relations between Azerbaijan and Jordan were laid by national leader Heydar Aliyev and King Hussein bin Talal. “President Ilham Aliyev and King of Jordan Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein attach great importance to expanding cooperation between the two countries in all areas."
"The relations in the field of information are also being strengthened. AZERTAC and Petra news agencies signed a partnership agreement in 2007. The agencies maintain close cooperation bilaterally and in international organizations. The Union of OIC News Agencies (OIC-UNA) is one of such organizations. AZERTAC is one of the members of the Executive Council of the Union. Given the current rapid development of information technology, our agencies can sign a new agreement that meets the modern requirements,” Aslan Aslanov emphasized.
Ambassador Sami Abdullah Ghosheh hailed the accuracy of the news published by AZERTAC, adding that he follows not only the latest developments in Azerbaijan, but also in the world from AZERTAC news agency. “AZERTAC staff can visit Jordan, and Petra's journalists will also be able to visit Azerbaijan and prepare interesting reports. This kind of exchange of experience could be beneficial for both parties,” the Ambassador mentioned.
Aslan Aslanov highlighted news, video and photo services of AZERTAC.
