KHOJALY GENOCIDE TO BE MARKED IN CZECHIA
The two-month events on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of Khojaly genocide will start February 26 in Liditse memorial complex of Czechia with the support of the State Committee on Work with Azerbaijanis Living Abroad and the “Azeri-Czechia” Society.
To this end, the photo exhibitions, seminars, round-tables will be held, as well as films demonstrated. The booklets and VCDs will be disseminated among the population and international organizations. Azerbaijan delegation will also meet with the members of Parliament, officials of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and of Culture etc.
The agreement achieved between the “Azeri-Czechia” Society and Liditse leadership says that the 15th anniversary of Khojaly tragedy will be marked in Czechia, 2007, while the Liditse genocide in Baku, May 26.
Fascists razed the Lidtse settlement to the ground, and killed everybody, including 82 children during the World War II, on June 10, 1942. Armenians committed Khojaly massacre, killing everybody and 83 children.
