KIEV TO BE MEETING PLACE OF CULTURE MINISTERS OF CIS COUNTRIES

On September 22, deputy Culture and Arts Minister of Ukraine Timofey Kokh met with Culture Minister of Azerbaijan Polad Bulbul oglu, Culture Minister of Georgia Sesil Gogeberidze, first deputy Culture Minister of Russia Denis Molchanov in Antalya, Turkey, AzerTAj’s Ukraine-based correspondent reported citing the statement circulated by Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affars’ press-service. The negotiations focused on preparation for the session of Culture Minister of CIS countries to be held between September 30 and October 2 in Kiev.

T. Kokhan noted positive development of cooperation between Ukraine and South Caucasian countries and intention to share experience of this cooperation with other countries and international organizations.

It is known, a three-day colloquium entitled “Cultural Policy in the transition period: dialogue and new partnership” was taking place in Antalya with the participation of 10 Culture Ministers of CE countries. A presentation of the CE’s project on South Caucasus attracted a special attention of the participants.

According to Ukrainian MFA’s press-service, the office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey will be opened in Kiev within a short time.
