Kazakhstan to host meeting of Councils of Foreign Ministers and CIS Heads of State

Minsk, October 7, AZERTAC.

A meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers and Council of CIS Heads of State will be held on October 15-16 in Kazakhstan, AZERTAC learnt from CIS Executive Committee in Minsk.

The meeting will focus on draft documents related to the upcoming important dates - the 70th anniversary of the UN and the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl accident. In addition, the heads of state will approve the documents regulating cooperation in the field of migration, the fight against crime, culture, emergency management, border security. The meeting will also discuss development of cooperation in the military sphere.

The foreign ministers will also negotiate the upcoming celebrations of the 25th anniversary of the CIS, the development of international youth cooperation and physical culture and sports in the near-term, as well as the activities of the Council of Heads of State agencies and issues related to the creation and activities of basic organizations of CIS member states.
