NEW COMMUNICATION STATIONS PUT INTO OPERATION

The Communications Ministry celebrating its 85th anniversary continues to take wide-range of actions.

According to the Ministry’s press-service, total volume of local telephone network and mobile network reached 2 million numbers and extra transmitters of the joint venture “Azercell” were mounted. 100 new coin telephones were installed and low-capacity international station was constructed in Nakhchivan.

To up-grade AZTV-1 programs broadcasting, 20 low-capacity TV transmitters and 3 FM-transmitters were mounted in many provinces of Azerbaijan. Transmission of the TV and radio programs from State Broadcasting Company to Tele tower through optical cable was completed.
