PARLIAMENT LET OPENING EMBASSIES IN ANOTHER EIGHT COUNTRIES
Discussed was the Draft of the Regulations “On courier service”. Member of the MM legal policy and state building standing committee Jahangir Huseynov informed on the Draft. He said that the Regulations stipulate the legal grounds of courier service, protection of social rights of staff of this service and other principles.
After discussions, the Draft was put in voting and adopted in the first reading.
Then was focused the issue of establishment of new embassies of Azerbaijan in a number of foreign countries. Chairman of the international relations and inter-parliamentary links standing committee Samad Seyidov spoke of the issue. It was decided tom open embassies in Canada, India, Indonesia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece, Belarus and Latvia. Besides, the permanent mission of the country will be open at headquarters of UNESCO in Paris.
As stated, now Azerbaijan has in foreign countries 21 embassies, 5 permanent missions, 3 offices (Canada, Belarus, Moldova), as well as general consulate in Istanbul and 2 honorable consulates (Lebanon, Saint Petersburg).
