PARTICIPANTS OF THE CONGRESS OF AZERBAIJANI WOMEN ADDRESSED THE PEOPLE OF AZERBAIJAN

As stated, the II Congress of the Azerbaijani Women was rounded its work on 26 September in Baku. Delegates of the II Congress of the Azerbaijani Women addressed to the people of Azerbaijan. The Address runs:

‘Dear compatriots,

Dear brothers and sisters,

In this blessed fall days, we, the delegates of the II Congress of Azerbaijani women note that the Congress, of course will play a positive role in the life of our society, and in the life of our women.

Our Congress is being held in the threshold of the 15 October presidential elections. Thanks to the internal and external policy of the last ten years by the Azerbaijan state under the leadership of President Heydar Aliyev , there have been achieved great successes,. We call on all the citizens to take a particular active part in the current elections, make right choice, - voice for this political course, ensuring strengthening independence and sovereignty of our Country, its economic, social, scientific, cultural, development, establishment of social-political stability in the society.

The core of our wish is establishment of peace over the world, tranquility ion our land. Therefore, we, the women of independent Azerbaijan Republic, resolutely condemn every unfairness, terrorist action, and bringing trouble to the people, call them to combat against them. This is the guarantee fro future of our children, peace, and calm in whole world. We want to bring up our children in an independent country far away from war and terror, borders and territorial integrity of which is guarded. We want that in the place of refugee camps there would be built new villages, settlements. And they returned to their homelands.

Dear compatriots,

Azerbaijan, along centuries has passed through troubles, and since the end of the last century it lives up with a problem - named Karabakh. And the modern Azerbaijani woman is a citizen of the country, 20 percent of the territory of which has been occupied.

However, just our children should be ready for defense of this Motherland. They should be always ready to sacrifice themselves for this land.

We, the mothers, must pass our history, culture, customs, and traditions. Just we, the women of independent Azerbaijan, should bring our children in the spirit of national moral, in the spirit of heroism, as patriots, carriers of out customs and traditions, great and pure mother tongue.

Struggle in the name of kind wish, honor, heroism nobility - these are qualities peculiar to our nation. Sons and daughters of the Azerbaijani people, doors of which are always open for guests, according to the old traditions, should always be hospitable, sincere, kind wishing and courageous. Just the young generation of these days will be the owner of this land.

We want to see all peoples of the world as friends and brothers. World is our common home. Today, we address you on behalf of this authoritative Forum. Let we promise to closer unite for the name of integrity of our lands, that we hall worthily bring up our children, that do everything for the name of free, successful future of our Land. No force can hamper it, the Address stresses.
