SCHOLASTIC CONFERENCE ON NATIONAL MINORITIES ENDS IN TBILISI

The two-day scholastic conference “Education Policy and Minorities” under the aegis of the Council of Europe wrapped up its work at the Black Sea international university in Tbilisi, AzerTAj correspondent reported. The conference participants discussed the issues of experience exchange, protection of ethnic minorities’ rights, official language of Georgia. The approval of the National Minorities Convention is one of the most important commitments assumed by Georgia.

The conference was attended by Ministry of Education and Science officials, rector of the Black Sea international university Duran Sungur and representatives of national minorities residing in Georgia.
