    SECOND ADVANCE BORE AT SHAKHDENIZ

    The BP Company, operator of the gas condensation fields of Shakhdeniz, started drilling of the second advance bore within the framework of the advance-drilling program of Phase 1. The well is situated in the northeast wing of Shakhdeniz structure at the water depth of approximately 101 meters. The operating depth of the well comes to 6610 meters and it takes 135 days to drill it and temporary closure, BP reports.

    The works have started after the first advance bore with the depth of 6566 meters was successfully completed on August 25.
