SOUTH KOREA TO TAKE PART IN CASPIAN PROJECT
The South Korea is going to take part in the development of oil fields of the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea.
Following the meeting with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, oil corporations of Korea and “GasMunayGas” company of Kazakhstan will sign a memorandum on cooperation in development of the Caspian oil fields, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Energy of South Korea Lee Hee-Beom said. The corporation of natural resources of South Korea will also sign a contract on cooperation with the Kazakh Committee of Geology and protection of entrails. According to him, the South Korea has invested USD 1,6 billion to the economy of Kazakhstan for decade and 180 companies with Korean share function in the country.
