SPAIN PULLS OUT ITS MILITARIES FROM IRAQ
According to official reports from Spain, as newly elected Prime Minister Zapatero took the office he decided to withdraw 1300 Spanish servicemen from Iraq during 15 days. Explaining the reasons for making this decision, he said that it is too long to wait for UN resolutions on Iraq.
Official Washington coolly took this hasty decision of head of Spanish government. Prime Minister of Australia Havard expressed regret on such a decision and stated on US radio that decision of the government of Spain to withdraw its military contingent from Iraq will boost rebellions to shed more blood and cause serious impediments for peacemaking operations of allied forces.
