The traditions of group exercises in the Artistic Gymnastics will be restored in Azerbaijan. It was said by trainers of the Artistic Gymnastics national team of Russia Inna Bistrova and Natalia Lashinskaya who arrived in Azerbaijan at the invitation of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation.

For the duration of their visit to Baku, they produced two performances for group exercises with 5 ribbons and two pairs of club with three hoops. The musical background for the first exercise was selected the melodies by Dupont and musical synthesis from N. Shirinov’s “Nagara” and “1001 nights” by F. Amirov. 9 athletes were examined by the Russian specialists. These are Valeria Egay, Yulia Debkova, Vafa Huseynova, Anastasia Prosolova, Alina Trepina, Ulvia Eyvazova and Alesia Alenina, Lia Kolesnikova and Esmira Magomedova. Russian Trainers remained satisfied with gymnasts’ performances that rapidly grasped the new elements and adapted to them.

As to the next trainings, Bistrova said that they are expected in Saint Petersburg or Russian trainers would come here again in 3-4 months. Head coach of Azerbaijan national team Valentina Ukleina said that these exercises are produced for the world championship to be held in Baku October 2005.
