UKRAINE-AZERBAIJAN FRIENDSHIP CENTER AFTER HEYDAR ALIYEV OPENED IN DNEPROPETROVSK
He met there with head of Dnepropetrovsk City Administration Ivan Kulichenko. Having congratulated the Azerbaijani ambassador with the recently passed Day of National Revival reported on the forthcoming ceremony of opening of the Ukraine-Azerbaijan Friendship Center after outstanding statesman Heydar Alirza oglu Aliyev. This center is being constructed at the expense of Dnepropetrovsk Azerbaijanis Diaspora, one of the most active and consolidated organizations of the Ukrainian Azerbaijanis Congress. He also pinpointed to the fact that one of the city’s streets would be soon renamed in honor of the Hero of the Soviet Union, intrepid son of Azerbaijan people Fariz Safarov who liberated Dnepropetrovsk from invaders during the World War II.
Then, Ambassador Talyat Aliyev met with head of Dnepropetrovsk region Administration Vladimir Yatsuba on November 18.
During the negotiations, it was decided to establish brotherly relations between Dnepropetrovsk region, its center, with one of the cities or provinces of Azerbaijan.
The sides also set ways of further development of economic ties between Azerbaijan and this largest region of Ukraine.
In an interview to AzerTAj correspondent, V. Yatsuba expressed his delight and pride with the fact that the politician of such caliber as Ilham Aliyev came to power in Azerbaijan and steer Heydar Aliyev’s course targeted to building of powerful, democratic and prosperous Azerbaijan.
All meetings were attended by chairman of UAC’s Dnepropetrovsk division Gudrat Hajiyev and chairman of League of Dnepropetrovshina Azerbaijanis.
Ambassador T. Aliyev also visited Chamber and Industry Chamber of Dnepropetrovsk, largest enterprises and met with Azerbaijani Diaspora in Dnepropetrovschina.
