VISIT OF RUSSIAN VICE-PREMIER CONTINUES
Addressing the Russian Vice-Premier, the refugees expressed their respect to President Vladimir Putin of Russia, as well as confidence that he would assist Azerbaijan President to insure their return to the native lands. One of them said in particular: “I am not a politician, but my heart tells me that Russia could play a key role in peaceful liberation of our lands. We do not need material aid, just help us go back to our native lands, to see the graves of our people.”
Galina Karelova thanked the displaced people for the sincere attitude, and warm words addressing to the Russian President and said she realized well the acuteness of the problem, and wished them courage, endurance and patience. “I believe the problem will be solved; you have the right to live however you want,” she said.

On the same day, Deputy Prime-Minister of the Russian Federation Galina Garelova visited secondary school No 23 named after National Hero of Azerbaijan Tahir Hasanov. She familiarized with the mini-exhibition reflecting Russia – Azerbaijan relations, meetings of the two countries’ Presidents, activity of the school’s alumnus Mehriban Aliyeva, and successes of talented students; she saw the school’ classrooms, library and heard the samples of Russian poetry performed by the schoolchildren.
The events were attended by Deputy Prime-Minister of Azerbaijan Republic, Chairman of the State Committee on Refugees and Internally Displaced People Ali Hasanov.
