WHO chief thanks Azerbaijan for initiating UNGA special session on COVID-19 and draft resolution on Access to Vaccines

World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for initiating the UN General Assembly (UNGA) special session on COVID-19 and draft resolution on Access to Vaccines as he attended a video discussion with the ambassadors of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member countries, organized by the Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva.

“Thank you for a very productive discussion today, Ambassadors of the Non-Alignment Movement. I especially thank your Chair, Azerbaijan, for initiating the UNGA Special Session on COVID-19 and the HRC46 draft resolution on Access to Vaccines and Human Rights,” the WHO chief said on Twitter.
