MEETING OF PRIME MINISTER OF AZERBAIJAN ILHAM ALIYEV WITH MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA LEE CHAOSIN

On the same day, Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Lee Chaosin.

At the meeting, the parties spoke on development of Azerbaijani -Chinese friendly relations and cooperation. It was stressed that President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev’s visit to the People’s Republic of China as well as visits of Chinese high official delegations to Baku gave a new impulse to intensive development of relationships between the two countries. Chinese companies show interest towards oil sector of Azerbaijan, and concrete work on agreements is being done. Besides, the necessity of parliamentary relations between the two countries was expressed at the meeting.

The parties exchanged their views on issues of mutual interest at the meeting.
