'The World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue in Baku will open new prospects of cooperation for all participants', Yaroslav Dovgopol
Kiev, April 6 (AZERTAC). In work of the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue underway in Baku, also will take part the director of the international department of the Ukrainian National News Agency - Ukrinform Yaroslav Dovgopol. On the eve, Mr. Dovgopol shared his views on the Baku forum:
"Development of mutual relations with the Azerbaijan Republic always took a special place in foreign policy of Ukraine. It is caused, first of all, by possibilities of mutually advantageous economic, political, scientific, technological and, certainly, cultural cooperation. Besides, the essential factor in this sense is the unique geopolitical position of two countries. As known, Ukraine is on crossing of the basic ways and communications between Europe and Asia. Azerbaijan, settling down on a junction between the East and the West, carries out an important uniting role of different civilizations and cultures. It was confirmed also at the meetings of heads of two states, taken place in Kiev during visit of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Ukraine in October of last year, and also in Davos - during the World Economic Forum which has passed in early current year. Both parties during meetings have shown openness of relations and seriousness of intentions on cooperation expansion. It was thus underlined that Kiev and Baku are “old partners and friends”, and their mutual relations always were at high level.
For the Ukrainian national news agency Ukrinform which also will be presented at the Baku meeting, one of the main aspects of Forum is expansion and optimization of information exchange. After all in the modern world to it is given more and more attention.
As to our cooperation with the Azerbaijani side, Ukrinform already long enough supports close and fruitful contacts to the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency - AZERTAC.
Yaroslav Dovgopol expressed confidence that the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue will open new prospects of cooperation for all its participants in the field of culture, art and religion.
