ALUMNI OF HIGHER MILITARY SCHOOLS GRANTED DIPLOMAS
Chief of the Military School Major-General Heydar Piriyev greeted the participants of the ceremony.
In his remarks, defense minister f Azerbaijan, colonel-general noted that professional military schools are necessary to provide the Armed Forces with officers. Therefore, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, as Supreme Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces began the army-building reforms with creation of the higher military schools.
Defense minister also stressed contributions of the PACE vice-president, head of the National Olympic Committee Ilham Aliyev in this field.
At the ceremony, the best alumni were granted with diplomas. Then, a ceremonial parade of the graduates was held.
Ministers, heads of committees, generals, ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Ahmad Unal Chevigoz, high rank officers of the fraternal country’s Armed Forces attended the ceremony.
