SEC approved the ‘Agenda for Zonal Seminars to be held for the Members of District Election Commissions in connection with Run-up to the Elections for the President of the Rpublic of Azerbaijan’;
SEC registered Ismaylov Ilyas Abbas oglu and Aliyev Yunus Isakhan oglu as candidates for President of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
SEC confirmed the ‘Instruction on Application of some Regulations of the Election Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan in relation to Holding Pre-election Campaign During Presidential Elections in the Republic of Azerbaijan and Rules of Granting registered candidates, political parties, blocs whose candidates have been registered the Air Time on the Channels of Television and Radio Company, and publication of pre-election agitation materials in the periodical press’ and ‘Instruction on Rules of Forming Divisional Election Commissions’;
SEC confirmed the ‘Regulations of the Secretariat of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan’ taking into account proposals put forward;
SEC approved samples of voting results protocols for district and divisional election commissions and form of special certificate for accused and convicted persons to vote in institutions of confinement;
SEC decided to consider the documents submitted to the commission and send them to the Office of Prosecutor General for undertaking appropriate measures.
The sitting of Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan was attended by representatives of International Fund for Election Systems, OSCE Bureau of Democratic Institutions and Human Rights’ Baku office, the U.S. National Democratic Institute, Baku Office of the Council of Europe Secretary General, Embassy of the United States of America, local and foreign mass media.
