ATS SWITCHES TO DIGITAL SYSTEM
Forty seven percent of the Automatic Telephone Stations in Azerbaijan have switched to the digital system. In the provinces, this figure makes up only 28 percent that is not satisfactorily, Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov told AzerTAj reporter. So, we are using our own funds to solve the problem. Gradually, the privatization’s possibilities will be used: the oldest stations will be privatized initially, and their new owners will indeed take measures to switch them to the digital system, the Minister said.
