Azerbaijan and Türkiye discuss military cooperation

On July 2, Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, met with a delegation led by Mustafa Murat Şeker, Deputy Chairman of the Agency of Defense Industries under the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
During the meeting, the Minister of Defense expressed confidence that the joint defense industry projects being implemented by the two countries would further strengthen the defense capabilities of their armed forces.
Expressing his gratitude to Colonel General Zakir Hasanov for the warm hospitality extended to the delegation, Mustafa Murat Şeker emphasized that such meetings play a significant role in expanding the existing military cooperation between the two fraternal countries.
The delegation also met with Azerbaijan's First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev.
During the meeting, it was noted that the enduring friendship and brotherly ties between the Azerbaijani and Turkish peoples make a substantial contribution to the steady advancement of bilateral military cooperation.
At both meetings, the sides held comprehensive discussions on the prospects for military cooperation between the two countries.
They also exchanged views on the application of artificial intelligence in satellite technologies, electronic warfare, unmanned systems, and other areas of mutual interest.
