AZERBAIJAN, IRAN MULL CUSTOMS RELATIONS’ DEVELOPMENT
Highly appraising the political, cultural, and economic and trade links between two counties, Aydin Aliyev emphasized necessity of effectively using the potential opportunities to deepen the current cooperation. He said number of the customs checkpoints on borders of two countries should be increased and the visa regime simplified. The customs services of two countries should make concrete measures in this field, he added. He said he had invited the head of the customs services of Iran Mohammad Hashim Rahberi to visit Azerbaijan.
Head of the delegation Afshar Suleymani thanked for reception, expressed hope for the suggested offers.
Member of the delegation, chief of the Ardebil Province Customs Department Javad Sarabi extended congratulations to Aydin Aliyev for appointing as the head of customs services of Azerbaijan, wished success for expansion of existent relations.
In the meeting, also was made proposal to open some other customs checkpoints, as Aslanduz-Horadiz point, for operation of the Bilasuvar joint market on the border of two countries, on arranging of exhibition of products made in Ardebil Province.
The sides have wide exchange of views on a number of other questions of mutual interest.
