Azerbaijan, Russia discuss strategic partnership

Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Parliament Ogtay Asadov has met with Chairman of the Russian State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin as part of his visit to Russia on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
They described Azerbaijan and Russia as strategic partners, saying the Russia-Azerbaijan dialogue is based on the principles of good neighborliness and mutual respect.
Emphasizing the importance of coordinating joint efforts on the international scene, the sides noted that the relations between the two countries' heads of state are key to the successful development of both Russia and Azerbaijan.
Members of the Azerbaijani delegation then attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Russia. The exhibition was co-organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Azerbaijani Embassy in Russia, and State Duma Committee on the Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots.
