Azerbaijan, State of Bolivia sign agreement

Azerbaijan and the Plurinational State of Bolivia have signed an Agreement on the exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official/service passports as Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mammadyarov met with his Bolivian counterpart Fernando Huanacuni Mamani.
The ministers underlined the importance of mutual visits to foster the friendship bonds and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Bolivia. They hailed the significance of the first official visit of the Bolivian Foreign Minister Fernando Huanacuni Mamani to Azerbaijan in this regard. The FMs reviewed the current state of bilateral relationship and hailed huge opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in a number of areas, including in energy, economic, commercial, agricultural, mining and educational spheres. The exchange of students and scholars in the humanitarian sphere was particularly emphasized.
The ministers praised cooperation between the two countries within international organizations and expressed their mutual appreciation for Bolivia`s support to Azerbaijan's bid for membership of the United Nations Economic and Social Council for the term of 2017-2019 and Azerbaijan's support to Bolivia`s bid for membership of the United Nations Human Rights Council for the term of 2015-2017. They recalled the fruitful cooperation between the two countries within the Non-Aligned Movement and expressed their confidence that Azerbaijan's hosting the 13 th Summit of the heads of state or government of the Non-Aligned Movement in 2019 and Azerbaijan's NAM Chairmanship in 2019-2022 will contribute to promoting the goodwill goals and objectives of NAM.
The two reiterated their mutual respect and support for their countries` political independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty. They both emphasized inadmissibility of interfering in internal affairs of states and strongly condemned the aggressive separatism and all forms and manifestations of terrorism.
The FMs also exchanged views on further expansion of a legal base between the two countries and agreed to encourage parliamentary cooperation.
