Azerbaijan tests VAR system

The VAR (Video Assistant Referee) system, which is expected to be used in Azerbaijan Premier League, has been tested for the first time, according to the official website of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA).
Farid Hajiyev officiated the match between Azerbaijan U-17 Youth team and Shamakhi U-19 team held at ASK Arena yesterday. Elchin Masiyev and Kamal Umudlu acted as video assistant referees.
In accordance with the relevant requirements of FIFA, VAR system should be used in test mode before its application during the official games.
