Volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Ukraine has been increased in the first six month of 2004.

Due to the development of mutual trade-economic cooperation between the two countries, trade turnover increased in three times since 2002. In 2002, this index made up 92,9 mln dollars, in 2003 -139 mln, in first six month – 75,8 mln dollars.

Within the passed period of the current year, Ukraine exported butter, milk products, tractors of Kharkov plant, road–building machinery, and high-pressure polyethylene from Azerbaijan to Ukraine. Agreement on joint construction of the plant for fertilizer production in Azerbaijan has been achieved between the “Sumikhimprom” SC of Ukraine and Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan.
