AZERBAIJANI CHESS PLAYERS TAKE PART IN INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL
Six chess players of Azerbaijan are taking part in the 13th international chess festival held in the United Arab Emirates. He tournament is held according to the Swiss system and consisted of 13 tours. Five Azerbaijani chess players are taking part in the Master tournament, five tours of which are already behind, Azerbaijan Chess Federation reports. Javad Magerramzadeh collected 3,5 points and is leading in the tournament.
Another member of the Azerbaijani national team, junior world champion Shakhriyar Mamedyarov has become the winner of a blitz-tournament held according to the Olympic system.
