Azerbaijani Defence Ministry: Armenian reconnaissance-raiding group annihilated

Azerbaijan`s Defence Ministry has said that the Azerbaijani armed forces annihilated an Armenian reconnaissance-raiding group.
“On January 31 at about 15.00 the Azerbaijani armed forces successfully prevented an act of sabotage by the enemy in Gazakh section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border. The Azerbaijani armed forces killed six Armenian soldiers who attempted to cross a mined area,” the Defence Ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry said that unfortunately, on January 31 at about 12.55 the Armenian armed forces shattered ceasefire in Khojavand region, which resulted in the killing of an Azerbaijani soldier, Rahim Allahverdiyev.
“The Ministry of Defence expresses condolences to the family of the shahid,” the statement said.
“The reports released by the Armenian media citing the country`s Defense Ministry and alleging that the Armenian armed forces destroyed positions and vehicles of the Azerbaijani armed forces on January 31 are absolutely false and disinformation,” the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry said.
“The Azerbaijani army fully controls operational situation along the frontline, and is ready to destroy the enemy,” the statement added.
