Azerbaijani Deputy PM: Simplification of customs procedures for Baku-Tbilisi-Qars railway is one of key priorities VIDEO
Baku, September 8, AZERTAC
Simplification of customs procedures for the Baku-Tbilisi-Qars railway, which will soon be put into operation, is one of the key priorities, said Azerbaijan`s Deputy Premier Abid Sharifov as he addressed the 10th Annual PICARD conference of the World Customs Organization in Baku.
He noted that location on the crossroads of various cultures and civilizations paves the way for Azerbaijan to play the role of a bridge between the North-South and West-East. “The historic Silk Road, which crosses Azerbaijan, played an important role in the country`s integration into the world trade system,” he added.
