AZERBAIJANI HANDBALL PLAYERS IN EUROPE-2004 CHAMP
Azerbaijan national women team on handball will participate at the joint qualification tournament of the European Champ 2004. In the qualification round the Azerbaijani nationals won the team of Switzerland (35:33), and Greece (30:28), and was defeated by host (Bulgaria) in score 24:25. Azerbaijani nationals took the second place, while Bulgaria was the first, and Switzerland - the third.
Thus, in the next round participate will 22 teams – Azerbaijan, Austria, Belarus, Croatia, Czech, Spain, Germany, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, Serbia and Chernogoria, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Macedonia, Portugal and the Island.
