World Taekwondo Championship among military men has rounded in Zagreb, Croatia. Sportsmen from 22 countries have competed in this tournament. Azerbaijan was represented by Vugar Karimov (54 kg), Babek Iskandarov (58 kg), Sanan Hashimov (62 kg), Niyameddin Pashayev (67 kg), Rashad Ahmadov (78 kg), Vugar Mejidov (84 kg), Fatulla Musayev (over 84 kg), Nigar Gasimova (51 kg), Matanat Hasanova (59 kg) and Alina Abdulgadirova (67 kg).

According to the press-service of the Ministry of Youth, Sport, and Tourism, in 58 kg weigh limits Babek Iskandarov has won silver medal. Matanat Hasanova has also secured the second place. Vugar Karimov and world champion Niyameddin Pashayev have both ranked third.
