Azerbaijani President’s visit to frontline boosts spirits of army and people

A recent visit by President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva to Tartar, Aghdam and Barda regions on the line of contact of Armenian and Azerbaijani troops has boosted the spirits of the Azerbaijani army and the country`s people. The head of state inspected service conditions of officers and soldiers, situation on the line of contact, and had meetings with the servicemen and local residents. This is yet another evidence of the fact that the situation on the frontline, problems of servicemen and people living next to the contact line are the focus of attention.
The fact that the President and the first lady met with residents living just 200 metres far from the frontline in Gapanly village, Tartar district, and Mahryzli village, Aghdam district, boosted the spirits of not only these people, soldiers and officers who valiantly face the enemy, but also the whole population of the country. Despite great danger and risks, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief visited residential areas on the line of contact and met with people. The President and his wife also visited the wounded residents at the Medical and Diagnostic Center in Barda.
Resident of Mahryzli village, Aghdam district, Bakir Huseynov told AZERTAC: “The Azerbaijani President’s visit to the frontline, his meetings with villagers raised the people`s confidence in victory. The head of state’s visit once more showed that he is the President of each citizen. We are wholeheartedly thankful to our President for his high level care of us.”
Another villager Allahverdi Mammadov said: “President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to meet with us, his being near us gave great happiness and calmness to each villager. Now we are fully confident that our occupied lands will be freed. We are proud of our President. Thanks God that we have such energetic President who loves his nation and takes care of them.”
Karabakh war veteran Sardar Ismayilov said President Ilham Aliyev`s visit to the frontline increased confidence in victory and our army. “Although Armenians keep shelling and destroying the houses, we trust our army and are not going to leave the village. We all know for sure that we will soon retake our lands under President Ilham Aliyev’s leadership.”
Head of the Republican Veterans’ Organization, Major-General in reserve Dadash Rzayev said: “We, the veterans believe that under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Azerbaijani soldiers will continue decently repulsing the enemy`s provocations and showing valiance in defending and freeing our occupied lands.”
Former military unit commander, General-Lieutenant in reserve Yashar Aydamirov said: “Azerbaijani President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces Ilham Aliyev’s visit to the frontline to meet with residents, servicemen once more proved that the head of state stands by soldiers and officers who serve on the frontline, people who live close to the line of contact at difficult times.”
Head of Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations' Union, MP Shahin Ismayilov noted: “Indeed with this visit President Ilham Aliyev continued his tradition. We have always witnessed that the head of state spends holidays and even his own birthdays among the people. And again, although it was weekend the Azerbaijani President made a visit to the region and familiarized himself with the situation. People who were wounded, lost their loved ones and their houses forgot all of the challenges and welcomed the head of state with high spirits. A strong unity between Azerbaijani people and their President manifested itself again.”
