Azerbaijani President’s visit to Uzbekistan in spotlight of Mexican media outlets

Mexican media outlets have widely covered Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to Uzbekistan.
An article entitled “Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan Sign Treaty on Eternal Friendship and Strengthen the C6 Bloc in Central Asia,” published by Mexico’s Federicolamont.com portal, highlights key aspects of the visit and notes that the new agreements reached between Baku and Tashkent are of interest not only at the regional level but also in a broader international context.
The article notes that the “Treaty on Eternal Friendship” provides the political and legal foundation for a new stage in Azerbaijani-Uzbek relations. It says that the deepening of cooperation between Baku and Tashkent could further strengthen Azerbaijan’s role as a transport and economic bridge between Central Asia and Europe, while enhancing the strategic importance of the Middle Corridor. According to the article, the agreement elevates the strategic partnership and allied relations between the two countries to a higher political level and is of significant importance for strengthening ties between Central Asia and the South Caucasus.
The article also underlines that during their meetings in Tashkent, President Ilham Aliyev and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
