AZERBAIJANI SPORTSMEN HIGHLY APPRAISED
Having congratulated Agasi Mammadov on his triumph gained at the Thailand World Boxing Champ, Mr. Heydarov stated that this victory again demonstrated that Azerbaijan sports meet the world standards.
Agasi Mammadov, in his turn, thanked leadership of the National Olympic Committee and State Customs Committee for concern and attention, and dwelt on the World Boxing Championship.
Coach Vagif Kazimov and chief coach of ‘Komrukchu’ and Azerbaijan national boxing team Mammad Eyvazov assured SCC Chairman that their sportsmen would hoist Azerbaijani flag on the upcoming championships.
Chairman of the State Customs Committee Kamaladdin Heydarov conferred the rank of senior lieutenant to the first World Boxing Champion of Azerbaijan Agasi Mammadov.

On the same day, Chairman of the State Customs Committee Kamaladdin Heydarov received sportsmen of ‘ Komrukchu’ sports center – the World Juniors Champion Samir Mammadov, the bronze winners of the European Juniors Championship, fivefold European champion Bakhtiyar Hajiyev, twofold world champion Vigar Mammadov, and world champion, international master of sports Sehriman Agayev.
In his speech, Mr. Heydarov wished sportsmen success in the future.
Head of ‘ Komrukchu’ sports center Khazar Isayev thanked the leadership of SCC and noted that such successes will be further continued.
In conclusion, the sportsmen were conferred the rank of lieutenant.
