AZERBAIJANI, TURKISH FOREIGN MINISTRIES HOLD REGULAR CONSULTATIONS ON CONSULATE-RELATED ISSUES IN BAKU
Baku, May 25 (AZERTAC). Regular consultations on consulate-related issues between Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijan and Turkey started here on Monday.
The discussions focused on the legal status of the Azerbaijani citizens living in Turkey and Turkish citizens in Azerbaijan, ways of solving their problems, visa-related issues, joint fight against human trafficking, problems emerging while deporting Azerbaijani citizens and other questions.
The consultations were attended by representatives from the two countries` Ministries of Internal Affairs, Labor and Social Protection of Population, Border, Migration and Customs Services.
The delegations were led by Chief of Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry`s Consulate Department Nadir Huseynov and his Turkish counterpart Kemal Gur.
The parties signed a protocol of intention on the issues discussed.
Previous discussions on consulate-related issues between Azerbaijani and Turkish Foreign Ministries were held in Ankara in 2006.
