Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister meets with World Bank Group Vice President

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with Valérie Levkov, Vice President for Infrastructure of the World Bank Group, on the sidelines of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
During the meeting, the sides hailed the results of successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank Group. They highlighted the importance of infrastructure projects implemented in Azerbaijan in terms of economic development and sustainable urbanization.
The discussions included an exchange of views on support for infrastructure development in Azerbaijan and the wider region, the use of World Bank financial instruments to promote private sector financing, and opportunities for cooperation on potential projects in the field of urban planning.
The meeting emphasized that the implementation of projects aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals will make a significant contribution to the economic and social development of the region.
