Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister meets with NATO Assistant Secretary General

Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Jean-Charles Ellermann-Kingombe, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Innovation, Hybrid, and Cyber, on the sidelines of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The discussion focused on the current state of the partnership between Azerbaijan and NATO, as well as prospects for further cooperation within the framework of Azerbaijan’s COP29 Presidency.
Minister Bayramov praised the many joint projects implemented through bilateral cooperation, noting that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the "Partnership for Peace" Program between Azerbaijan and NATO.
He also highlighted Azerbaijan’s significant contribution to NATO’s peacekeeping operations and its active role in mutually beneficial cooperation over the past three decades, which has solidified Azerbaijan’s reputation as a reliable partner.
The Minister also expressed Azerbaijan’s readiness to collaborate with NATO on advancing climate action initiatives during its COP29 Presidency.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on other topics of shared interest.
