Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture and Tourism meets Head of National Library and Archives Organization of Iran

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfas Garayev has met Head of National Library and Archives Organization of Iran (NLAO) Ashraf Boroujerdi.
The Minister highlighted the state program carrying out by the Azerbaijani Government for development of libraries in the country. He also said year of 2017 was declared “A Year of Islamic solidarity” in Azerbaijan.
Abulfas Garayev also talked about the Days of Azerbaijani Culture held in Tehran and various cities of Iran.
Ashraf Boroujerdi highlighted the books preserved in the National Library of Iran.
They discussed a range of issues, including developing prospects of cooperation between the national libraries of the two countries, as well as holding the joint book fairs.
Azerbaijan`s Ambassador to Iran Bunyad Huseynov was also present in the meeting.
