Azerbaijan’s volleyball referee to officiate at EuroVolley 2026 Women

Fuad Aghayev, an international referee of the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation, will officiate Group A matches at the 2026 European Women’s Volleyball Championship on August 21–28, serving as both first and second referee.
The 34th edition of the tournament, featuring Europe’s leading national volleyball teams, will be hosted by Türkiye, Czechia, Azerbaijan, and Sweden from August 21 to September 6.
The tournament, which will be held in the four countries, will feature six teams in each group.
Group C matches will be held in Azerbaijan, featuring teams of Azerbaijan, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Romania, and Spain.
Group matches will take place on Aug. 21 - 28. The round of 16, featuring the top four teams from each group, will be played Aug. 30 - Sept. 1, while the quarterfinals will take place Sept. 2 - 3 in Istanbul and Brno, Czechia. The semifinals will be held Sept. 5, while the third-place match and final will take place Sept. 6 in Istanbul.
The Baku matches will take place at the National Gymnastics Arena on August 21-28.
