BAKU READY TO HOST WORLD’S BEST GYMNASTS
Azerbaijan has a good experience in conducting large international competitions. One of them, World Free Style Wrestling Cup, was successfully held in Baku in early April, Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev said at the sitting of the organizing committee.
According to first vice-president of the Gymnastics Federation of Azerbaijan Altay Hasanov, the tournament will bring together gymnasts from 24 world’s countries. Most of experts and referees who will participate in the upcoming Olympic games will arrive in Baku.
The competitions will be conducted in the Sports Complex named after Heydar Aliyev. Azerbaijan is represented by two athletes – D. Gimatova and A. Gurbanova.
