The race is expected to attract athletes from 62 countries, with approximately 1,500 participants in total.
The course will feature a 1.9-kilometer swim in the Caspian Sea, followed by a 90.1-kilometer cycling route through various parts of Baku, offering views of the city’s distinctive landscapes. The final 21.1-kilometer run will take place along Baku Boulevard, culminating in a finish near the “Seven Beauties” fountain.
The top 25 finishers in both the men’s and women’s categories will secure spots at the 2027 IRONMAN 70.3 Triathlon World Championship in the United States.
IRONMAN is one of the world’s leading international triathlon series, with its first race held in Hawaii in 1978.
As part of IRONMAN Week, IRONKIDS and Fun Run events will take place on September 4, bringing together participants of different ages. IRONKIDS will feature 500m, 1km, and 2km races, while the 5km Fun Run will be open to those aged 18 and over.
