Baroness Patricia Scotland: We had success in COP29

“I think we had success in COP29. It was difficult, it was arduous, but we trebled the amount to 300 billion. Is it enough? No, do we need more? Absolutely, but does it improve the position that we were in before? Yes, and we have to see this as just another milestone on the road to eventual success,” Baroness Particia Scotland, Commonwealth Secretary-General said in an interview with AZERTAC.
“It was good that this was the first time in any COP that we had a summit for small states, which was really well represented. President Ilham Aliev came. It was all the heads of small states were there, and they were able to explore and explain why this is an existential threat, not just for them, but for the world, which we have to address. So.
