BSEC COUNTRIES` EDUCATORS MEET IN ISTANBUL
Representatives of education ministries of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) member countries held a meeting, “State of Education in BSEC Countries in Millennium”, in Istanbul, 27 August. Najiba Nasibova, education adviser of the Azerbaijan Embassy in Turkey, represented Azerbaijan.
Addressing the meeting participants, the minister of education of Turkey Huseyn Chelik estimated the friendly relations as the best bridge among the interstate relations. This bridge can be established only by education and culture. Therefore, Turkey attaches great importance to the development of cooperation among the BSEC countries in numerous fields, he emphasized.
Currently, Turkey`s volume of trade with neighboring countries has increased from 8 percent to 30 percent, a greater part of which belongs to tourism sector, he stressed.
Education representatives of 12 member countries focused on state of education and prospects of relations in this sphere.
At the final meeting on 28 August, the participants will adopt a Joint Declaration on cooperation of BSEC countries in education field.
