A meeting of the teaching staff of the Baku State University took place on April 19.

Rector of the University, ANAS corresponding member Abel Maharramov said that the executive order “On Rise in Addition to Salaries for Academic Degree” signed by President Ilham Aliyev was welcomed by the BSU staff and described this as one more indication of the state’s concern about scholars and scientists.

Dean of historical department, Milli Majlis deputy, Prof. Yagub Mahmudov, academician Fuad Gasimzadeh, Prof. Jalil Nagiyev told of inestimable services of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev in developing scince and education.

At the end, the meeting participants adopted the address to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
